2022 Land Cruiser Redesign
New 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser is the next-generation model. That means the Japanese manufacturer will introduce various updates. Of course, we are very interested to see Land Cruiser in a new suite. Interestingly, but the arriving SUV will share a lot of things with the Lexus LX 570 model. Land Cruiser will replicate some styling cues from its sibling, and it will look very attractive. The front fascia comes with a trapezoidal grille and new LED headlights. Toyota’s design language is recognizable, so you will spot new Land Cruiser with ease.
The rear part hosts a new liftgate and revised taillamps. We like the Heritage Edition that will also drastically change in 2022. This variant offers new grille, various badges, black side mirrors, and numerous dark chrome accents. Heritage Edition is available with BBS forged-aluminum alloy wheels while regular trims are using 18-inch alloy rims.
Interior Revamp
The next-gen 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser will keep its current interior layout. That means a three-row eight-seat setup remains. However, the cabin design is different and definitely better than before. Toyota delivers new and more high-quality materials. Thanks to that, Land Cruiser will offer the same or better comfort than the Toyota Sequoia.
The dash still dominates the interior with its 9-inch touchscreen. New buttons and knobs are looking beautiful, and you can operate 4-zone climate control and the audio system. Heritage Edition comes with new bronze contrast stitching, and it looks gorgeous. Additional chrome accents are visible at first glance, and Land Cruiser will get the latest driver-assistance aids.
Land Cruiser Still Offers Potent V8 Engine
The forthcoming 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser won’t change in terms of engine options. That means the same V8 engine is in the offer. It is a 5.7-liter engine that comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain is capable of producing 381 hp and up to 401 lb-ft of torque.
It is surprising to hear the news about the new Land Cruiser that comes without a new engine option. However, it is still a powerful SUV that offers great off-road capabilities. Towing capacity is rated at 8,100 pounds, which is slightly below the Ford Expedition that leads the segment with 9,350 pounds.
2022 Toyota Land Cruiser Release Date and Price
The price of the new 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser will start at $86,500. If you want the famous Heritage Edition, you’ll have to pay an additional $2,500. Land Cruiser is the brand’s most expensive model that competes with luxury rivals such as Lincoln Navigator and Mercedes-Benz GLS. The sales should begin in the second half of 2021.
