After significant changes on the current model, a new 2021 Porsche Cayenne will arrive with minor updates. While the arriving SUV won’t change dramatically, the brand-new all-electric variant is rumored. The Porsche Cayenne EV will look exactly like the regular gasoline-powered model. That means the electric variant will be a mid-size SUV with two rows of seats and a room for five passengers.
However, improved performances with great driving range are a huge step forward for Porsche. Cayenne looks impressive, and the interior is full of luxury. Admirable comfort, superb ride quality and numerous trim levels are more than enough for you to consider buying this impressive SUV.
2021 Cayenne Design
As we said, a new 2021 Porsche Cayenne will arrive with the same design as its predecessor. The mid-size SUV looks very modern, and it comes with an athletic stance. Some parts are looking very aggressive and sporty. Moreover, a couple of trim levels will improve the sporty vibe and offer lower ground clearance.
Styling is very recognizable, with sharp lines and unique front fascia. It is a premium SUV, and we expected nothing less from Porsche. The current model arrived with a larger grille and bigger air intakes. The aerodynamics are amazing, and we think Cayenne is one of the best-looking mid-size SUVs.
Interior Improvements
The interior of the 2021 Porsche Cayenne is one of the best interiors that you can find. However, Porsche will introduce minor tech updates only. Besides that, the mid-size SUV won’t provide any type of interior upgrades. Cayenne is a two-row SUV with a room for five passengers. The infotainment system is up to date, and Porsche will look to deliver new driver-assistance features.
Cayenne offers a pair of LCD displays and the dashboard with a larger 12.2-inch touchscreen. A couple of traditional buttons could be removed as the all-digital instrument cluster is responsible for most of the controls. The interior is full of wood trims and metal accents. As before, leather upholstery is offered as standard.
Engine Specs
The all-new 2021 Porsche Cayenne will once again offer a familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine. This unit is capable of producing 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to various trim levels, Cayenne can be had with different outputs. For example, the S model generates 420 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. The GTS Cayenne is even better, and Turbo S variant will utilize larger 4.8-liter V8 engine with 570 horses.
Porsche offers an eight-speed automatic transmission as before. The E-Hybrid variant combines 3.0-liter V6 with an electric motor. This version cranks out 455 horsepower, and it comes with improved fuel efficiency.
Porsche Cayenne All-Electric Variant
The arriving 2021 Porsche Cayenne will get an all-electric variant. This is just a rumor at the moment, but various reliable reports are suggesting for EV model to happen at some point in 2021. Porsche could offer the same setup taken from the Taycan sedan.
Porsche clearly has big plans for its lineup of crossovers and SUVs. The only thing that is missing is the zero-emission powertrain. While we are waiting for Porsche to confirm new all-electric Cayenne, we know that its launch will happen at some point in 2021.
2021 Porsche Cayenne Release Date and Price
The base trim level will start at $75,000. That means the price of the 2021 Porsche Cayenne won’t change. On the other hand, The Turbo S trim is available for around $125,000. The E-Hybrid variant will cost almost $90k, and Cayenne will go on sale by the end of 2020.
