However, Mazda opted for this name for numerous reasons. At 173.0-inches long, this model will slot between two segments.
The arriving model is larger than the subcompact vehicles and smaller than compact. It became a thing over the years and Mazda is following the same path. Mazda’s new model will rival Jeep Compass, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and Nissan Rogue Sport. Moreover, Subaru Crosstrek, Jeep Renegade, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, and Nissan Kicks are also one of the toughest rivals. Interestingly, Mazda CX-30 comes with the smallest wheelbase in this segment.

The naturally-aspirated powertrain is producing 186 horsepower and we can expect the same figures with this crossover. A 6-speed automatic transmission is available.

The credit goes to Mazda’s SkyActiv-X compression system. Front-wheel-drive comes as standard on all of the models. The all-wheel-drive system will be optional. The arriving crossover will also deploy the same suspension as its sedan sibling.
2020 Mazda CX-30 Price and Release Date
The price of Mazda’s newest small crossover starts at $23,000. CX-3 model starts at $20,000 and CX-5 at $25,000. For that reason, the price will logically start between the two models. Of course, you can expect numerous trim levels and plenty of optional equipment.
Mazda finally has a model that will enter the battle in the non-existing segment of the small crossover. This model will hit the markets later this year.
