One rumor that caught the most attention is a speculated twin-turbo six-cylinder engine.
This engine will easily outperform the famous Hemi V8 engine. The same engine will be a perfect fit for numerous platforms and models from the FCA’s lineup. FCA’s goal is to deliver a smaller displacement with sheer power so we can expect the size as the regular four-cylinder powerplant. The 2020 Jeep Wagoneer seems like the perfect candidate for the powerful inline-six turbo unit. According to further reports, this engine will easily outperform the Hemi V8 engine. Just to compare, 5.7-liter Hemi V8 delivers 395 horsepower. However, this engine’s details are not available yet.
Besides that, Jeep likes to offer a 3.6-liter V6 engine as standard. The different outcome will come as a huge surprise. Also, a 6.2-liter engine could be available in the high-performance variants. This larger output generates up to 700 hp. Thanks to the newest platform, Wagoneer could arrive with a hybrid drivetrain as well. However, everything is speculation at the moment.
2020 Jeep Wagoneer Price and Release Date
The arriving full-size SUV will hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2020. The 2020 Jeep Wagoneer will be available in numerous trim levels and body styles. That includes the Grand Wagoneer version. Also, high-performance variants such as Trackhawk or even SRT should become available in the near future. Unfortunately, pricing details are not available yet. New Wagoneer will be a luxurious SUV so don’t expect anything below $80,000.
