Captain’s chairs are now available on upper trim levels. There will be three rows of seats and the cabin room will remain generous. However, the third-row bench is not suitable for adults. From the outside, Pilot Hybrid SUV won’t suffer that much. Most of the changes are really minor and only small cosmetic details will be added.
2020 Honda Pilot Hybrid Safety
Honda is a well-known automaker that likes to put special attention to the safety department. The 2020 Honda Pilot Hybrid will be one perfect example. This SUV will arrive with the five-star safety rating. It will offer plenty of safety aids and driver-assistance features as standard. Current Pilot model is safe in numerous ways. However, the new Pilot will introduce some new features. That includes adaptive cruise control, emergency braking and tire pressure monitoring.
The upcoming 2020 Honda Pilot Hybrid won’t depart from the base model. Whatsoever, the only hybrid drivetrain will be a difference. Knowing that Pilot Hybrid will offer the same trim levels as the regular gasoline model. LX is an entry-level trim.
The customers can opt for the EX and EX-L models as well. Touring and Elite models are the two range-topping trim levels. Elite trim is luxurious in every possible way. It offers almost everything as standard and it looks premium, especially from the inside.
Plug-In Hybrid Drivetrain
The all-new 2020 Honda Pilot Hybrid will finally arrive. The current gasoline model is using a 3.5-liter V6 engine. This V6 unit is producing 280 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. Honda is planning to deliver either a hybrid or plug-in hybrid system. Anyway, an AC Synchronous Permanent-Magnet Electric Motor will be in the offer.
This motor will provide an additional 20 horses and around 40 lb-ft of twists. Thanks to that, Pilot Hybrid SUV will deliver over 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Maybe more importantly, this SUV will offer up to 50 mpg, which is an astonishing result.
2020 Honda Pilot Hybrid Price and Release Date
The price of the upcoming 2020 Honda Pilot Hybrid will start at around $45,000. The base model costs $33,000 and range-topping Elite model up to $50,000. We still don’t know if Honda plans to introduce a regular hybrid or plug-in hybrid variant.
That decision will mostly impact the price of the arriving SUV. New 2020 Pilot Hybrid will go on sale in the last quarter of 2019.
