The 2020 Chevy Suburban is a truck-based SUV and it will ride on the same platform as the GMC Yukon model. New independent rear suspension is available. Also, Suburban will be significantly lighter than its predecessor, thanks to the T1XX platform. The new-gen model will introduce plenty of exterior upgrades as well. Suburban to Get a New Independent Rear Suspension (IRS)
Next Suburban model will get the all-new Independent Rear Suspension. Chevrolet opted for such a radical move for numerous reasons. Unlike a regular SUV’s solid axle, new Suburban will look to copy the Ford Expedition model. Expedition SUV comes with the same suspension that is paired with a turbocharged engine. This will create another rivalry in the SUV segment, no doubt about it.

Engine Specs
Under the hood, new-gen Suburban will arrive with the numerous engine options. Specifically, the North American Suburban will offer three engine choices. The anticipated diesel powertrain will finally be in the offer. The 2020 Chevy Suburban is now available with the optional 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel Duramax engine. Turbodiesel unit cranks out 280 horses and 460 lb-ft of torque. An all-new 10-speed automatic transmission will be available as well.
