Envision model is present for two years only. The current model arrived with minor upgrades, so we can expect the 2020 Buick Envision to arrive with major upgrades. Whatsoever, the compact crossover will ride on its second-generation. Premium crossover is currently available in Mexico, Canada, United States and China.
Based on the GM VSS-F platform, Envision will get slight updates in terms of exterior and interior. The cabin is already luxurious and the exterior will look more attractive thanks to the latest changes. However, the biggest update will be an all-new engine with the new 9-speed automatic transmission.
2020 Buick Envision Exterior Refreshments
The all-new 2020 Buick Envision will replicate the current model’s design. However, the exterior will get more refreshments. Crossover is looking very elegant and stylish. In the back, taillights are revised and more chrome accents are present. The same thing will happen up front with the slight headlights upgrade.
However, the front part now sports an all-new grille that looks more modern than the previous one. A sculpted rear design will remain and the profile will now look sleeker than ever before. On top of that, Buick will offer new exterior paints for 2020, along with the new optional wheels.
2020 Buick Envision Will Get Two New Exterior Colors
According to the latest reports, the brand-new 2020 Buick Envision will get new exterior paints, two of them. First exterior color is Espresso Metallic and the second is Dark Moon Blue Metallic. However, official photos are not available yet. On the other hand, Bronze Alloy Metallic and Galaxy Silver Metallic colors are not available anymore.
Interior and Features
Interior will get fewer updates than the exterior. The 2020 Buick Envision will get only minor interior refreshments. That includes an updated version of the IntelliLink infotainment system. The system now comes with the new 8-inch touchscreen. Some optional equipment is now available as standard.
The seating layout and the layout of the controls will largely remain. Also, there won’t be any changes in trim levels. New Envision crossover will most likely arrive with a better safety rating than before.
Engine Specs and Transmission
The upcoming 2020 Buick Envision will offer one new engine. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that comes with the 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine is capable of producing 197 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is more potent and it will be optional.
A new turbocharged unit is delivering 252 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Also, the four-cylinder engine is offering a new 9-speed automatic transmission. Envision offers a front-wheel-drive setup as standard. Just like on the current model, an all-wheel-drive configuration will be optional. Fuel economy is rated at 25 mpg combined with the FWD system. Optional engine with the AWD setup provides 22 mpg combined.
2020 Buick Envision Price and Release Date
Unlike the refreshed 2019 Envision, the 2020 Buick Envision will arrive with the slightly higher price. The all-new crossover will start at around $35,000. Buick’s latest model will go on sale in the last quarter of 2019 as the 2020 model. As we mentioned, there won’t be changes in trim levels so the Premium models will start slightly below $50,000.
