Audi plans to introduce an all-new crossover alongside the redesigned A1 model. The 2020 Audi Q1 will look sportier than the Q2 model. On top of that, it will look closer to the Q3 model. Unfortunately, this model won’t arrive in the United States next year. However, it could arrive in 2021. The 2020 Q1 will ride on the Volkswagen’s MQB platform.
A coupe-like design will look stylish and very sporty. It is yet unknown, but Q1 should arrive as the subcompact crossover. The segment of small crossovers is getting more and more popular among the customers. It is a perfect replacement for regular cars. The German manufacturer will probably introduce a hybrid version in the near future as well.
2020 Q1 Exterior Design
The forthcoming 2020 Audi Q1 will most likely arrive as the subcompact crossover. This model features a coupe-like design and it looks sporty. Whatsoever, it looks sportier than the Q2 model. Audi’s recognizable grille is present upfront and headlights are looking very modern. Rear-end hosts sporty taillights but the rear window looks very small. However, Audi will surely offer a rearview camera as standard. The side profile looks very premium and upper trim levels are very luxurious.

The interior of the 2020 Audi Q1 will be everything but unique. The German manufacturer will give its new Q1 model a lot of cues and features from the other company’s models. The dash is almost the same as in the Q2 model. However, the same dashboard looks slightly wider. The shape of the air vents is another borrowed cue. Circular vents are looking interesting and stylish whatsoever.
The only thing Audi can deliver that looks unique is the new interior schemes. No doubt, Audi Q1 will look very upscale and premium. The same story continues from the inside, range-topping trim levels are nothing but luxurious. We are still waiting on full interior details. That includes the interior room, cargo area, and optional equipment.
Possible Engine Options
Audi’s newest crossover will arrive with more than one engine. Audi will focus on fuel efficiency rather than on power. For that reason, the German manufacturer will offer numerous choices and combinations. That includes both TDI and TFSI engines with manual and automatic transmission. According to the latest reports, 6-speed manual and 7-speed S-Tronic gearboxes are in the offer. The 2020 Audi Q1 will deploy the famous MQB architecture.
For that reason, front-wheel-drive will be offered as standard. Audi’s famous Quattro driving system will be optional. The hybrid drivetrain is another speculation. Surely, this model is very certain. However, it is not certain for 2020. For the end, Audi will offer a high-performance variant that will look sportier and it will be more expensive. Speculated SQ1 model will arrive with the turbocharged engine.
2020 Audi Q1 Price and Release Date
The upcoming 2020 Audi Q1 will hit the markets in the coming months. The price is not available yet. However, this model will start below the Q3 model that costs $33,000. That means the all-new Q1 will cost around $30,000.
Upper trim levels, hybrid variant, and SQ1 version will cost significantly more. New Q1 will rival models such as BMW X1 and Jaguar E-Pace. Unfortunately, this model will not arrive in the United States in 2020. However, the 2021 Q1 could be in the offer.
