2023 Audi e-tron Sportback Is Coming Later This Year

Another SUV is about to hit the road. It is time to introduce the 2023 Audi e-tron Sportback, which is one of the most luxurious-looking SUVs on the market. The German manufacturer spared no expense. Something spectacular was created as a result of some clever design. The e-tron is a fully electric SUV. Of course, this is not big news. We have had electric SUVs for quite a while. But the 2023 Audi e-Tron Sportback takes things up a notch. The long name is due to the fact that Audi likes using fancy words. E-Tron is their denomination for a fully electric vehicle. The Sportback badge is given to vehicles that have a fastback body design.

So look at this SUV as a very stylish, battery-powered sports vehicle. It has been almost 3 years since the model went on sale. So we can expect a lot of improvements. It wasn’t bad per se, but it can always be better. Look to the interior to not lose a step and get even more stylish. This is a big selling point for many Audi vehicles. The exterior won’t receive too many updates. And we will see what the powertrain section has in store for us.

Let us read more about the upcoming 2023 Audi e-tron Sportback.

2023 Audi e-tron Sportback Exterior

On the outside, the body design looks sleek. The 2023 Audi e-tron Sportback is aerodynamic and has a lot of curves. This improves handling and decreases wind resistance. Further improving fuel economy, or should we say range on a single charge? The wheels are a 21-inch lightweight alloy. This helps shed some weight. Bumpers are seamless, they fit well with the overall design and don’t protrude a bit. The rims look sharp and ready to race.

On the front, we have a big aluminum mesh with four famous circles. Headlights are more linear than usual. There are air intakes on the front bumper as well. The hood is also designed to be sporty. Tires are all-terrain, even though they have that slim look to them.

What’s New Inside?

The cabin of this electric SUV looks nothing short of amazing. The 2023 Audi e-tron Sportback has great-looking styling and the latest technology. This is important since Audi is competing against serious manufacturers. This includes BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen. It won’t be easy for them to take home the crown, but they will try their hardest. The seats look good with leather and fabric. Contrast stitching is present, and hopefully, we can get it in several colors. Heated and ventilated seats are quite the standard nowadays.

We also get massage seats. More cushioning could be useful. Even though this is a luxurious and stylish cabin, it should also be as comfortable as possible. The instrument panel has some alternative materials to it. Chrome is used to give it some styling. Perhaps using more interesting materials, such as wood or titanium, would add even more appeal. The SUV seats five people with ease. There is plenty of legroom and headroom to go around. It has 29 cubic feet of cargo space, or 57 if you fold the back row. Two touch screens are in the cabin. This allows for some entertainment and great connectivity. The Dashboard is digital as well, which is expected.

2023 Audi e-tron Sportback Motor Specs, Battery Capacity, and Range

This might be the most interesting part of the 2023 Audi e-tron Sportback. The powertrain that moves the big SUV is state-of-the-art technology. It is fully electric and runs on two electric motors. One takes residence at the front axle and the second one at the rear. Of course, it has all-wheel drive, but most of the grunt work is done by the rear engine. Most of the time, these electric motors can produce 355 horsepower and 414 pound-feet of torque. But if you press the magic button and switch to Sport mode, horsepower goes up to 402, while pound-feet of torque is increased to 490.

The battery pack that moves the vehicle is located under the cabin. This, of course, results in amazing handling and balance on and off the road. There are certain ways to return the spent energy back to the battery pack. One of these technologies is the regenerative braking system. They have been implemented with the classic brakes.

Towing capabilities are tested at 4000 pounds, which is a good number for an electric SUV. The driving range could be better, though. The 2023 Audi e-tron Sportback can go 222 miles without recharging. This is in the range of I-pace, which goes 234 miles. Anyway, it falls short when compared to the Model X’s long-range(371 miles). The battery pack is big, 150 kWh. Fast charging capabilities are present. It can charge to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes. With the classic 240-volt outlet, you will need around 9 hours to fully charge the E-tron. This means that you can always have it fully charged if you leave it overnight. Impressive numbers for an SUV, in our opinion. The SUV has still not been tested off the paved road. This would truly be another great selling point if it was done properly.
