The upcoming 2021 Honda Passport will reach the markets by the end of 2020. Called the “Baby Pilot” new Passport will introduce a couple of interesting refreshments. The Passport SUV is very similar to the Pilot model. Two models are sharing plenty of mechanics and are looking very similar. Both versions are looking attractive and upright, but the Passport is dimensionally smaller.
The interior is also similar, and it looks very modern. Comfort is great, and ride quality is superb. The Passport model comes with more ground clearance, and it offers a long list of standard amenities. It rides on a powerful V6 engine, and it offers a room for five passengers. The sales will start later this year, and the price should remain intact.
2021 Passport Colors and Design Changes
As for the exterior design, the new 2021 Honda Passport won’t change drastically. Whatsoever, the redesign has been introduced in 2019. This SUV still looks fresh, and there is no need for a significant change right now. The styling is modern, and it looks similar to the styling of the Pilot SUV. However, Passport adds more ground clearance and is a smaller vehicle.
Its compact dimensions make him adorable, including the vehicle’s shape. The platform is the same, and the Passport offers 20-inch wheels as standard. Honda will add more blacked-out trims, and new exterior paints should be made available. At this moment, the Passport model offers a couple of beautiful colors. That includes the Black Forest, Crystal Black, Lunar Silver and Steel Sapphire.
Interior Updates
The interior of the 2021 Honda Passport looks very modern and stylish. A high level of comfort is present across the complete lineup of trim levels. For a compact SUV, the Passport is spacious, and it is practical as well. Again, you will find plenty of similar things that you can spot inside the new Pilot model. The layout of buttons is slightly different, but it is the same interior design. We like the small SUV for its high-quality cabin and plenty of standard features.
The dashboard looks clean and simple. Honda offers plenty of soft-touch materials, and some cues such as air vents are looking fantastic. The steering wheel will host more controls this time, which is great. If you want more luxury such as leather upholstery or larger touchscreen, you’ll have to buy one of the upper trim levels.
Performance, Towing Capacity, MPG
New 2021 Honda Passport will deploy the same 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine. No matter which trim level you opt for, the V6 engine is the only engine choice. It delivers 280 horsepower and up to 263 lb-ft of torque. It is one of the most reliable engines in Honda’s lineup, and it provides plenty of power.
Honda offers a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard front-wheel-drive system. Off-roading is possible thanks to additional ground clearance, but the Passport is not made for off-road adventures. Passport SUV can tow almost 5,000 pounds, and it manages 23 mpg combined.
2021 Honda Passport Release Date, Price
The forthcoming 2021 Honda Passport will once again start at $32,000. The price remains intact, but the range-topping trim level will now cost slightly above $45,000. This SUV will hit the dealerships later this year, in the last quarter of 2020.
