Suzuki will continue to deliver Vitara and Grand Vitara models in the future. The rumors about the end of production are obviously false. The 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will hit the roads once again. However, this SUV will introduce minor updates. It is a matter of time when Suzuki delivers a complete redesign to its SUV lineup. For now, things will mostly remain.
New Grand Vitara will hit the markets later in 2019. It will keep its existing price as well. On the other hand, the mid-size SUV could get a new engine. Besides that, the design will remain attractive and the interior will look very modern.
Same Exterior Design
The all-new 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara won’t introduce further exterior updates. The design looks a little bit outdated so Suzuki left us in surprise. The mid-size SUV still looks attractive and handsome, but some parts have to be updated. On the other hand, Suzuki will surely deliver a redesign in the next year or two. It is the only logical outcome.
Grand Vitara and its smaller sibling are having great potential and we can’t wait for the redesign to happen. For now, the 2020 Grand Vitara offers the same grille and headlights. Sporty bumpers are in the offer once again and the front end looks very unique. The rear end offers a beautiful pair of taillights. To the sides, 18-inch alloy wheels are available too.
2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara Colors
Suzuki won’t offer new exterior colors, but it offers a beautiful palette of exterior paints. The 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara comes with plenty of metallic color options. You can choose between the Cosmic Black Pearl, Horizon Orange, Galactic Grey, and Silky Silver.
On top of that, two colors are available with the black roof option. Those colors are Bright Red and Atlantis Turquoise. All of the colors are optional and the only standard option is Superior White.
Interior Updates
The only updates on the 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will happen from the inside. The interior of the mid-size SUV will largely remain. However, Suzuki will offer numerous technology upgrades. Grand Vitara is a comfortable model from the inside but the base model is still far from the luxury level. However, optional equipment and higher trim levels will provide a certain level of luxury.
The infotainment system is up to date and the dashboard will get a couple of minor tweaks. The same infotainment display is in the offer. On top of that, Suzuki will offer more standard equipment than before. That includes keyless entry and a rearview camera. Comfort is great as always before and the cabin space is generous. There will be room for five passengers.
New Diesel Engine?
The 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will keep its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This gasoline unit is producing 165 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque. It seems like this engine does not have a future and Suzuki knows this drivetrain is outdated. It offers a 5-speed manual transmission.
On the other hand, the all-wheel-drive setup is optional. For that reason, Grand Vitara could get a new 1.4-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. This smaller output will surely deliver better torque figures. Also, it comes with a dual-clutch transmission. However, the diesel variant is just a speculation for now.
2020 Grand Vitara Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will keep its existing price. That means the mid-size SUV will start at around $25,000 or slightly below. New Grand Vitara will hit the dealerships this summer and it will firstly arrive in India.
