The Lexus GX 460 is a tall and large SUV which is known for its excellent off-road capabilities and excellent interior room. Based on the latest news, we can soon expect to see the new 2020 Lexus GX 460 which should get some small changes in the exterior styling and perhaps more standard features in the base trim. It will keep the same engine but it could also get a hybrid powertrain at some point in the future.
Engine and performance of 2020 Lexus GX 460
The 2020 Lexus GX 460 will return with the same powerplant as before and there is one single option. It is a 4.6-liter V-8 engine which has the output of 301 hp and 329 lb-ft of torque. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission and the full-time all-wheel drive system is standard. It gets 15 mpg in the city, 18 mpg on the highway, and 16 mpg combined. The GX 460 will be able to reach 60 mph in 7.8 seconds. The exterior and interior design
Design-wise the 2020 Lexus GX 460 will get the same square body which is dominated by the large spindle grille and a pair of angular headlights on the front end. However, this time, we might see some changes of the grille treatment and slightly revised headlamps and bumper. The rear fascia could feature restyled taillights as well. Furthermore, it will feature large doors and high entry and exit as before. The GX 460 will ride on the 18-inch wheels.
The three-row seating configuration remains standard in the upcoming 2020 Lexus GX 460. It is very spacious and provides excellent space for all the passengers to drive comfortably. In the center of the dashboard, there is a standard 8.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.
