The upcoming 2020 Jaguar F-Pace will be once again the company’s best-selling model. Jaguar is keen to keep the momentum with the latest updates. This time, F-Pace will get more standard equipment, especially from the inside. First Jaguar’s SUV will offer room for five passengers.
Comfort is great and the exterior design is perfect. “Grace, pace and space” is F-Pace’s slogan for a reason. Luxury SUV really looks gracious on the road and it performs great. Under the hood, a powerful V8 is in the offer. The exterior design will get minor updates only.
2020 Jaguar F-Pace Changes
New 2020 Jaguar F-Pace will introduce a lot of changes. However, most of the upgrades will happen inside the cabin. For the start, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system updates. More importantly, this system is now available on all trim levels as standard. It adds a 10-inch touchscreen that sits in the dashboard.
Resolution is impressive and the whole system is now more intuitive. The 2020 F-Pace will now get more standard equipment as well. That mostly includes safety and driver-assistance aids. Lane-keeping assists, emergency braking, and new parking sensors are available now. Sign recognition is improved and adaptive cruise control is now optional.
Exterior Facelift
So far, Jaguar didn’t mention anything about the exterior changes. To be fair, there is no need for any radical move in this department. The design is relatively fresh and zero mechanical changes will happen.
For that reason, aerodynamics will largely remain, along with the front grille and exhaust pipes. SUV looks very attractive and unique. Grille still hosts larger air intakes and bodywork is impressive. The design on the 2020 Jaguar F-Pace looks clean and very modern as on the current model.
Engine Lineup
As we mentioned, there will be no mechanical changes. That means the 2020 Jaguar F-Pace will offer the same engine lineup as before. A 3.0-liter V6 engine is available and it produces 380 horses. A 2.0-liter diesel engine generates 180 hp. Both units are available with an 8-speed ZF gearbox.
The diesel engine will deliver better fuel economy but clearly less power. However, the same 2.0-liter diesel unit is available with the turbocharger. This output will burst up to 296 horsepower. F-Pace with the 3.0-liter V6 sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. On the other hand, if you want real power, opt for the SVR model.
2020 Jaguar F-Pace SVR
If you thought Jaguar can’t be wilder, British carmaker introduced the range-topping SVR variant. It is a high-performance version of the 2020 Jaguar F-Pace. Under the bonnet, a 5.0-liter V8 cranks out 550 horsepower. All-wheel-drive setup is standard, along with the 8-speed automatic transmission.
With this V8 engine, F-Pace SVR reaches from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. From the inside, leather upholstery is standard. Seats are sporty and very comfortable. Aluminum paddle shifter is available as well. However, this model won’t be affordable at all.
2020 Jaguar F-Pace Price and Release Date
The arriving SUV will keep its existing price. That means the 2020 Jaguar F-Pace will cost around $44,000. There will be a couple of trim levels and special packages. The range-topping SVR model will be priced at almost $80,000. Jaguar will release its newest SUV in the last quarter of 2019.
