2020 Infiniti QX50 Review: Price, Trim Levels, Engine

After the latest 2019 refreshments, the 2020 Infiniti QX50 will be a sort of carryover. A premium crossover offers great driving manners and plenty of luxury. On the other hand, the price is far from affordable, but that’s the way it goes with the premium crossovers.

Upgrades are minor but QX50 will look fresh and attractive. There is no need for significant changes at the moment. The interior will get small updates in the technology department. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine provides good fuel economy and great power.

Exterior Carryover

The exterior of the 2020 Infiniti QX50 will remain the same. A front-wheel-drive platform is also unchanged. However, the same architecture was all-new on the 2019 model.  On the other hand, this crossover is handsome and stylish. Modern appearance makes the QX50 very attractive and appealing.

Front end hosts large openings and beautifully-designed LED strips. Speculations about the dimensional decrease are false. The 2020 model will be the same size as its predecessor. LED headlights are available as standard and 20-inch wheels are optional.

Trim Levels – Pure, Luxe, Essential

The all-new 2020 Infiniti QX50 is available in three trim levels. Pure, Luxe and Essential. Base Pure model is interesting and uncommon trim level because it offers so much luxury. Unlike the other crossovers in the market, this one is offering faux leather seats. Heated front seats are optional, however. On the other hand, power tailgate comes as standard, along with the LED headlights, dual-zone climate control and plenty of safety systems.

Mid-grade Luxe model offers the same upholstery, but it adds slightly more premium features. For instance, roof rails are standard, just like the panoramic moonroof. LED fog lights are also available. Also, this model comes with even more standard safety aids. Range-topping Essential model is the most luxurious trim. Literally, everything that the 2020 QX50 is offering comes as standard.  That includes real leather interior, Around View bird’s-eye rearview camera, heated seats and side mirrors.

2020 Infiniti QX50 Interior and Cargo Space

Over the years, this crossover improved significantly when it comes to the interior room. The 2020 Infiniti QX50 is offering the same roomy cabin as its predecessor. However, that roomy interior is above average.

There will be 38.8 inches of rear-seat legroom. The more impressive fact is the cargo area that is rated at 65.2 inches. This crossover is not only premium and comfortable, but also a practical vehicle with plenty of cabin space.

Engine Details and Fuel Economy Rating

The upcoming 2020 Infiniti QX50 offers only one engine. It is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit that comes with great power and good fuel economy.  The gasoline-powered engine is producing 270 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the superb compression ratio, this engine also offers good fuel economy rating.

Crossover offers 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Also, CVT transmission is available. All-wheel-drive configuration is optional and QX50 sprints from 0 to 60 in 6.2 seconds. What else can you ask for?
