The all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta is a subcompact crossover, also known as Hyundai ix25. This model is produced in China, India, Algeria, and Brazil. Interestingly, new Creta is available everywhere around the globe, except in Europe and North America. Based on its own concept, Creta is available for five years now.
Hyundai offers numerous trim levels and a new 2020 model will introduce mid-cycle upgrades. That includes small exterior modifications and more tech from the inside. Under the hood, well, Creta offers different engine lineup for a specific market.
Exterior Design and Dimensions
The upcoming 2020 Hyundai Creta will also look different in different markets. For example, Creta in India and the Chinese version will depart from each other, but not significantly. As we already wrote, this crossover is based on the Fluidic concept. New Elantra model is also based on the very same concept. Creta is a subcompact crossover that looks very modern and sporty.
For 2020, Hyundai will introduce small modifications such as revised headlights and a slightly wider grille. As for the vehicle’s dimensions, Creta is 168.1 inches long and 70.1 inches wide. Moreover, this five-door crossover is 64.2 inches tall and its wheelbase is rated at 102.0 inches.
Interior Updates
Hyundai promised more impressive features for the next-gen Creta. However, we still don’t know if the 2020 Hyundai Creta will be the new-generation model. From our point of view, the 2021 Creta will introduce major upgrades. For that reason, the arriving model will get only a couple of interior updates. When it comes to interior design or its layout, everything will largely remain. The Blue Link system is optional on the base model.
Buying this system is more than recommended as it will provide 33 different features. 10 out of 33 systems are exclusive for the Indian market. Creta also comes with an impressive safety rating. The subcompact crossover offers plenty of driver-assistance features and safety aids. Whatsoever, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, keyless entry and auto climate control are all standard.
Engine Options
New 2020 Hyundai Creta will share its platform and engine with Kia Seltos. It is a 1.4-liter gasoline engine that is offered as standard. On top of that, Creta will also offer 1.5-liter gasoline and 1.5-liter diesel options. The diesel is capable of producing 113 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. A standard 1.4-liter generates 130 horses and 178 lb-ft of twist.
Finally, 1.5-liter gasoline is good for 113 horsepower and 106 lb-ft of torque. Have in mind that only one or two of these engines are available in a specific market. The same stands for the transmission. The 2020 Creta offers up to four different gearboxes. That includes a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, CVT and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
2020 Hyundai Creta Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2020 Hyundai Creta will arrive in the coming months. Hyundai has big plans for this subcompact crossover. For that reason, new-gen Creta could get a seven-seat version. In China, Creta is available as “ix25” model. It will cost around $20,000.
