The upcoming 2021 Jaguar E-Pace will continue with mid-cycle refreshments. Just like its predecessor, new E-Pace will introduce a lot of upgrades. New spy photos are perfectly hiding most of the exterior design. Whatsoever, only the roof is completely visible. However, even under the heavy camo, we can spot improved styling and a couple of exterior novelties as well.
Unfortunately, interior details are not visible. E-Pace is the company’s smallest SUV. It slots below the compact F-Pace model. Moreover, 2021 E-Pace will look both modern and sporty. We are waiting for Jaguar to confirm frequent rumours about the new engine. On top of that, E-Pace could get a hybrid or all-electric variant.
2021 E-Pace Spy Photos
As we said, spy photos didn’t provide that much info. New 2021 Jaguar E-Pace will surely get a certain amount of upgrades. However, heavy camouflage is perfectly hiding most of the vehicle. Whatsoever, only the roof is visible, and the roof won’t suffer any visual modifications. Still, something is happening beneath the camo.
It seems like the Jaguar will restyle the front fascia and add new bumper. Grille will be wider, and we can expect a slightly different shape. Taillights will be reshaped too, at least according to rumours. Surely, Jaguar will also provide numerous upgrades to E-Pace’s upper trim levels. However, we are talking about numerous smaller upgrades.
Interior Updates are Not Available Yet
We are not sure about the updates inside the cabin. The 2021 Jaguar E-Pace will get a couple of high-tech upgrades for sure. However, no one knows what will happen with the rest of the interior. Potential updates such as new displays or new upholstery will remain a mystery, for now. Cloth seats are still offered as standard.
The interior looks very modern and premium. New 2021 E-Pace could get more wood and chrome trims. On top of that, the dashboard will largely remain, and it will host the same 10-inch touchscreen. On the other hand, upper trim levels could get a larger display. The base model should stay intact. You can only expect new driver-assistance aids.
Standard Engine Remains, Hybrid Powertrain is Possible
As things stand, the approaching 2021 Jaguar E-Pace will continue to offer the same engine lineup. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder is standard, and it provides 245 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, the same engine is producing 296 horses and 270 lb-ft of torque on the P300 model thanks to the re-tuning. This engine is using a 9-speed automatic transmission and AWD system is optional. Fuel economy is rated at 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
So far, Jaguar is silent on the possible new powertrain. Moreover, many reports are suggesting some sort of electrification. It is perhaps too early for the all-electric variant. That could happen once the new-generation model arrives. On the other hand, some type of hybrid or PHEV model is a very likely outcome for this small crossover-SUV.
2021 Jaguar E-Pace Price and Release Date
It looks like the new 2021 Jaguar E-Pace is ready for its release. However, many car experts are saying that the new model will go on sale in summer 2020. If it happens, a hybrid variant should arrive at the same time as the regular model.
New E-Pace will cost $42,000 and the range-topping trim level almost $60,000. Jaguar’s new crossover will look to rival models such as Range Rover Evoque, BMW X5 and Audi Q5.
