For those who prefer their SUVs to be on the luxurious side, Lexus has got a surprise for you. After almost seven years-long waiting, the manufacturer is unveiling their newly designed 2023 Lexus RX350. This would be the fourth iteration of the RX family.
It is a midsize category SUV, a luxurious crossover that is both appealing to the eye and has amazing functionality. Its main competitor is the BMW X5, which is not an easy competition. We can all agree on that. Many manufacturers are showing off their new designs and there are many SUVs this model year. This only means that the 2023 Lexus RX350 won’t have an easy job at winning the top dog spot. There will be two trims available, namely RX350 and RX350 F Sport.
The F Sport version is more outdoorsy and sportier obviously, but it will be interesting to see what kind of amenities and gadgets set it apart from the basic version. Compared to the previous versions, we can expect many changes, both interior and exterior ones. In the powertrain section, we can also expect some improvements, not that the previous engine was bad or anything.

What’s New Inside?
What is true for all Lexus interiors, still stands true even for the 2023 Lexus RX350. Their interiors are out of this world. And we don’t mean just by looks, its functionality is on point as well. Designers made sure that everything inside is tailor-made according to the latest fashion and also it needs to have that upper-class elegance.
All the leather used inside the car is handmade. Lexus decided to forego the old classic interiors and go for a more contemporary and modern design. We get amazingly comfortable seats, not those rugged-looking racing car seats. These are lined with fine quality leather which is only made better with contrast stitching to really make it pop. Heated and ventilated seats we see absolutely happening in this SUV. They would improve the already comfortable ride, even if it is for longer periods of time.
The instrument panel is riddled with a bit of chrome which adds some style. It also has leather along with the panel. In the center, we can see a huge infotainment system, apparently 14 inches. Which is more than enough for everyone to join in on the fun. It is running on Lexus’s own Interface, it’s a new system developed by Toyota. Has five times greater processing power than the previous one. We can expect smartphone connectivity, Cloud-based navigation, OTA updates, and a WiFi hotspot right in the cabin.
It will also have a safety system of its own design as well. Systems like these greatly improve the safety aspect of vehicles and save people’s lives. The look is not fully minimalistic or all digital. We have numerous knobs and buttons along with the cabin. Especially on the steering wheel, there are many button categories. This way the driver doesn’t have to take his look away from the road. The safety aspect again improved. The dashboard is all digital, which makes this interior a great crossover between style, functionality, and technology. As we already mentioned, Lexus makes some of the most sought-after interiors. They didn’t disappoint this time as well.
Will the Lexus RX Be Redesigned in 2023?
On the outside, changes are not so apparent with the 2023 Lexus RX350. The SUV will remain quite similar to the previous generation in body look and overall design. Size is quite identical and why would they change the winning formula after all. We can see an RX350 with increased ride height. That way nothing gets stuck under the truck and no obstacle is too much.
It has huge 20-inch wheels made from lightweight materials to save weight. One place where it also saves weight is the front fascia. The mesh grille on the front is huge, wide and tall, and lightweight. This way the SUV has a far better power to weight ratio which improves its performance, speed, and fuel economy. The overall look is still ergonomic and aerodynamic, which also improves the fuel expenditure aspect. On the dark black mesh in the front, we can see the huge Lexus logo. The headlights are thin and linear, of course utilizing the latest LED technology to improve safety as much as possible.
Lexus RX350 F Sport
If you are looking for more than just style and functionality, if you are looking for some speed and fun in your Lexus, well look no further. Lexus RX350 F Sport is tailor-made for you. With this model, you get better suspension and all-season tires as standard. With the F Sport, you also get better-looking bumpers and a whole new grille front. It utilizes a 3.5 liter V6.
This engine produces around 295 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. More than enough for an SUV this big. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and has a fuel economy of around 20 mpg combined. It is priced at $53 925 for the basic trim.
2023 Lexus RX350 Powertrain Options
In the regular 2023 Lexus RX350, we get the same engine. But also there is the possibility of a hybrid powertrain. Hybrid engines are all the rage nowadays and we hope that it becomes a reality. Adding an electric motor under the hood greatly improves power and fuel economy.
Something everyone wants in their vehicle. It is still uncertain what kind of electric motor it would be or what kind of battery pack they will utilize. However, there is also mention of the 2.4 liters inline-four turbocharged engines.
How Much Will the Lexus RX350 Cost?
We can expect the 2023 Lexus RX350 to drop in several months. Fans everywhere are eagerly waiting for the SUV to hit the road. Starting price for the basic version will be around $46,000.
