The upcoming 2020 Hyundai Palisade is the company’s biggest SUV so far. A 3-row crossover that can accommodate up to eight passengers. Palisade comes with a standard and powerful V6 engine. The crossover will arrive this summer and it will be available for an affordable price.
Palisade was introduced last month at the LA Auto Show and the first impressions were very positive. This model will be available in the United States as well. The 2020 Palisade will join the rich Hyundai’s lineup of crossovers. Moreover, it will compete against models such as the Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, and the Honda Pilot.
Visually Attractive Design
The all-new 2020 Hyundai Palisade is one attractive crossover. The front fascia looks a bit unusual with vertical daytime running lights. The grille is bold, massive and it sports plenty of chrome. LED headlights are standard.
To the sides, Palisade looks closer to the Mercedes GLE or Cadillac Escalade models. Plenty of shiny trims around the glass and the shape of the C-pillar are looking unique. In the back, Palisade looks especially unique. Vertical light clusters are providing a sense of sportiness.
2020 Hyundai Palisade Exterior Dimensions

Second-row captain’s chairs are available and third row offers a bench seat. There will be five trim levels, SE, SEL, SEL Plus, Limited and Ultimate. Only two trim levels are offering leather seats as standard. Tech-wise, Palisade offers an 8.0-inch touchscreen. Optionally, the customers can buy a 10.3-inch touchscreen. Even better, Ultimate trim offers a large 12.3-inch TFT display.
Potent V6 Engine
The only engine under the hood of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade will be a 3.8-liter V6. This unit runs on the Atkinson cycle and it offers a direct injection system. Powerful V6 cranks out 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox is available.
Palisade will be a front-wheel-drive model, but the all-wheel-drive setup will be optional. The upcoming crossover will offer numerous driving modes. That includes modes for mud, snow, rock, and sand. With these modes, Palisade is a capable off-roader. Whatsoever, this crossover can tow up to 5,000 pounds. The diesel engine will be available, but not in the United States.
