2024 Jeep Wrangler Redesign, Colors, and Release Date

It is the season of redesigns, and we’re eagerly waiting for the 2024 Jeep Wrangler redesign with new colors. This legendary vehicle has been around for quite a while. The first Wrangler was made in the 1940s. And when we talk about off-roading, this has to be the first vehicle that springs to mind. It even made its way to the silver screen numerous times, in the Jurassic Park franchise to be exact. Over the years, it has undergone many improvements, and it has become a much better vehicle. Recently, Jeep has been talking about putting a battery pack instead of a gas-guzzling engine. This doesn’t come as a shock. Many manufacturers are racing to make their whole fleet electric. This saves the planet and saves money in the long run.

We all know how expensive gas prices can get. The EV version is going to be available in the whole world, not just in the US market. There will be five trims available, which we will talk about further down below. So what else will be coming with the upcoming redesign? Well better-equipped interior, to start, as well as minor exterior modifications. But the biggest change will come under the hood.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Exterior

On the outside, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler stays true to the classic look. We get huge 20-inch wheel rims. They are wrapped in 40-inch off-roading tires. These are sure to help you off the road. We get 3 inches of extra ground clearance.

Also, the special off-roading suspension is available with the new Wrangler. The top of the Wrangler, as usual, can come off. Off the production line, you can choose different types of roofing. Whether it be a hard top or some sort of mesh.

Redesign and Colors

The front grille received a refresh. We still get the classic front fascia with vertical air intakes and circular headlights. Bumpers are prominent and protrude. They have a good approach angle for a good reason. Winches are available on both ends.

As far as colors are concerned, there are several options. We have Black, Granite Metallic, Sting-Gray Clear-coat, Silver Zenith, Hydro Blue, Tuscadero limited edition, Snazzberry, Firecracker Red, High Velocity, Sarge Green, and Bright White.

Cabins found in Jeeps are not expected to be comfortable or extra luxurious. And yet they are absolutely stunning and enjoyable to ride in. We still don’t have official confirmation if the 2024 Jeep Wrangler will be available in 2-door and 4-door setups. Also, the general layout of the cabin shouldn’t stray much from the classic Wrangler look. Seating should be improved to offer maximum comfort. After all, this SUV should zoom across obstacles, and the road ahead is bumpy, to say the least. Heated and ventilated seats should come in handy during the hot summer hours. There will be some alternative materials offered in the cabin.

In particular, chrome and perhaps titanium. It adds some luxury and looks amazing when you sprinkle some metal across the instrument panel. The new Wrangler will have Uconnect 5 connectivity. A multiscreen setup is also possible. Hopefully, no less than 13-inch touchscreens. The dashboard is digital as well, which allows for further customization. Also, it makes the life of drivers much easier. You can track all the needed information with a digital dashboard. We also get a head-up display and a drowsy driver warning. These come in combination with all the other safety features which are already well known. Autonomous driving will be available. Hands-free active driving assist lets you relax behind the wheel while keeping you involved in driving. It remains to be seen how much of the road map is covered by Jeep’s software.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Engine

Back in 2021, this was a concept vehicle called Magneto. It had four battery packs mounted on the chassis. The 2024 Jeep Wrangler will probably use that platform and make it better. It has a combined power of 70 kWh and uses an 800-volt system. The electric motor will boast 625 horsepower and a six-speed manual transmission. The battery pack might seem small, but technology has managed to utilize that power much better. The driving range on a single charge is not yet available. More information on that will be revealed soon. It would definitely be interesting to see Jeep utilize multiple electric motor configurations. As an example, consider Tesla’s Cybertruck. Two or three electric motors would do wonders. Especially since the Wrangler is an off-roading legend. With that configuration, we could expect 400-500 horsepower with ease.

Fast charging capabilities should be present. Getting 100 miles on 10 minutes of charging is a godsend. A hybrid variant is also available. The updated powertrain on the Wrangler EV can hold a peak amperage of 600 amps. It needs 2 seconds from zero to sixty. Maximum regeneration of power is available. So, one-pedal driving is possible with this vehicle. The wheelbase has increased by 12 inches.

Li-ion batteries will definitely maximize weight balance. This improves handling and steering both on the road and off it. One is put in place of a fuel tank, one in opposition to it. One battery pack is above the e-motor and the fourth is instead of a rear storage compartment. It has a Rock-Trac transfer case. This is borrowed from the Jeep Rubicon. This technology gives us the amazing rock-crawling ability. It has a Dynatrac 60 Pro-Rock front axle and a Pro-Rock 80 rear axle with lockers. Off-road suspension is available as well. Put all of this together and you get one monster battery-powered SUV.

  1. What is the cost to replace the batteries? What is the cost to put a charging station in my home? What happens if we are in a brown out and we are asked to reduce the usage of our electric? How safe are the batteries for the environment once they are in a landfill etc? Minig for cobalt and lithium, is this “environmentally” safe?
