Fresh Look

So far, we don’t know all of the details. New crossover was shown on a teaser video. However, the shadowy crossover didn’t show that much. The 2020 Lincoln Corsair will get the same shape as the previous MKC model. Whatsoever, dimensions are similar, if not the same. Corsair will be around  180 inches long or slightly less. Furthermore, this model will be 73.3 inches wide.

Front fascia sits taller and it looks far more modern. Lincoln won’t introduce such an angular nose as on the MKC model. On top of that, Corsair crossover will arrive with a longer wheelbase. Luxury Interior

The interior design won’t look that much unique. Most of the cabin is very similar to the Aviator’s SUV. Some parts are clearly borrowed. For the start, narrow dash and floating infotainment screen. To this day, some interior details are still a mystery. One thing is certain, Corsair won’t look like MKC from the inside. We can expect even more upscale features and materials. Thanks to the longer wheelbase, Corsair will offer more interior room.

That mostly includes the legroom. Headroom won’t be drastically better. Air vents are rectangular and the center console looks wider. Some reports are suggesting leather upholstery as standard. On top of that, upper trim levels will deliver real luxury. Of course, Black Label is the first thing that comes to our minds. Black Label will arrive with two-tone upholstery and larger displays. Also, we can expect additional carbon-fiber and chrome accents.

Two Engines and New Transmission

Corsair will ride on the same platform as the current Ford Escape crossover. For that reason, we can expect a 2.0-liter engine as standard. On top of that, the 2020 Lincoln Corsair will offer an optional 2.3-liter EcoBoost. First engine choice will produce up to 245 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque.

The second variant generates up to 285 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque. One of the main improvements over the MKC crossover will be Corsair’s fuel efficiency. Standard four-cylinder unit delivers 30 mpg on the highway. Optional 2.3-liter is rated at 27 mpg. While not confirmed yet, Lincoln will introduce a new 10-speed automatic gearbox.

Lincoln Corsair Hybrid

Now that we are writing about fuel efficiency, Lincoln will surely offer a hybrid drivetrain. The 2020 Lincoln Corsair Hybrid won’t borrow Aviator’s powerful V6 engine. That means the newest Lincoln’s crossover will deliver much better mileage.

According to reliable sources, the carmaker will pair electric motor to both engine choices. That means we can expect two hybrid outputs. Horsepower and torque figures won’t significantly increase. However, we surely anticipate seeing exact output numbers. Mileage will be surely impressive.
